‘Z’ CABERNET FRANC
2019
In the vineyard: Slavyantsi village, Oreshaka vineyard
In the Cellar: Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After post-fermentation contact with the skins part of the wine was run off into French barriques for 10 months. The wine was assembled, lightly fined and bottled.
Alcohol: 14%
TA: 5.5 g/l
pH: 3.4
Residual sugar: dry
In the glass: Complex and elegant, with notes of blackberries, tobacco leaves, and cedar. The floral notes of a spring meadow echo on and on. The palate is focused and velvety from the fruity entry to the spicy finish. The complex character rolls on in layers, first dark fruits, later red pepper, flint and earthy notes. Hints of tobacco and roasted coffee linger on the long finish, while the fruity precision and the utter seamlessness of the structure make this Cabernet Franc a joy to drink.
Recommended Cellaring: 2-6 years
